tralac Conference in Cape Town

I am happy to be invited to the annual conference of the trade law centre (tralac) in South Africa. Tomorrow, I am going to fly to Cape Town in order to present Simon Fink‘s and my article ‘Different Paths of Regional Integration: Trade Networks and Regional Institution-Building in Europe, Southeast Asia and Southern Africa’. I am looking very much forward to this – not only because of an interesting conference, but also because I expect that Cape Town is worth a visit :-).

Teaching in the Summer Term 2013

I will teach two seminars in the summer term 2013 at the University of Bamberg. The first one is a seminar for Bachelor students. It focusses on international institutions in general and global economic governance in particular. The second one is a Master seminar on financial crises. It compares and analyses financial crises in general and the Asian, the Argentine, the U.S. subprime, the Greek and the Euro crisis in particular. This seminar builds up on the seminar about the Euro crisis from the last winter term. However, participation in the last term’s seminar is no precondition for participation.

Students who are interested in visiting seminars should register in FlexNow as soon as possible. Presentations and the topics for term papers will be distributed in the first session.
